Overview

The kitchen/dining area is fully fitted to a very high standard including fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.  The LPG cooker consists of a full hob, mini oven/grill and main oven.  The larder has slate shelves (constructed from the slate of the original manger) and additional freezer space is available for those who wish to provision for the duration of their holiday. Tumble drier facilities are provided in the ‘old Bakehouse’ opposite. The comprehensive range of high grade cutlery and crockery is dishwasher proof.

Gwenoldy is fitted with its own oil-fired hot water and central heating system and the décor is predominantly lime wash in soft pastel shades in keeping with a cottage environment.

The living room, which is very comfortably furnished, has an oak floor with rugs. For entertainment there is a wide screen TV with DVD, an audio/CD system and a selection of books, games and jigsaw puzzles.

There is a wood-burning stove in the corner of the living room.

The patio door leads to an enclosed garden for guests’ exclusive use. Gwenoldy’s garden is partly grassed with a patio area equipped with a gas fired BBQ. Part of the garden is planted with herbs for use when cooking on the barbeque.

Guests are also welcome to use the farmhouse garden from where there are inspiring views overlooking the valley for painters and photographers, and towards the Bronze Age hill forts of Penycloddiau and Moel Arthur.

The staircase from the living room leads to the first floor where there are two oak floored bedrooms, one double, one twin bedded, cosily furnished with rugs, comfortable beds and ample pine cupboards with hanging and drawer space for clothes, as well as dressing and bedside tables.

There are excellent views from the roof-light windows from both bedrooms overlooking the valley. The sunrise through the East window into the main bedroom is often very colourful.

The bathroom has a bath with a shower, WC, shaver point and a heated towel rail.  The view from the roof-light over the valley can be equally spectacular.
