* Opposite the cottage is a renovated Grade II listed Bakehouse (the oven is not yet restored), in which tourist information for the area is displayed.  Painters are welcome to set up their easel here in the event of wet weather, and from the various vantage points around the property.

* There is ample parking space for two cars beside the cottage.  The cottage garden includes a patio, garden furniture and a barbeque.

* A provisions list will be supplied should guests wish to order their initial provisions in advance to be placed in the cottage for their arrival.

* A collection service from Chester Railway Station and Manchester Airport is available.
